Apple Pay®

Get started by adding your Oak View National Bank debit card to your device's digital wallet.  You'll just need an eligible iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac that's using the latest version of iOS, watchOS, or macOS.

Open the Wallet App on your Apple device and tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner.

Follow the steps to add your Oak View National Bank debit card with your camera or enter the card information manually.  If you are adding the card that you already use with iTunes®, you'll just enter its security code.

Once your card is verified, you can begin making purchases!

What if I want to change my default card in Apple Pay?

Where can I use Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is accepted at more than 220,000 locations nationwide, including many of your favorite stores, restaurants, gas stations, and more! You can also use Apple Pay in all kinds of apps, and on participating websites. Just look for the contactless payment and Apple Pay logos.

Is Apple Pay free?

Yes, there is no charge to use Apple Pay. However, depending on your data plan, message and data rates may apply.

Will I still earn rewards and benefits from my card when I pay using Apple Pay?

Yes, you will! You will still receive all the benefits and protections that your debit card provides. When making a purchase at a business using Apple Pay, ensure that your Oak View debit card is centered on your screen. Marking purchases through Apple Pay using a debit card linked to a Kasasa® Cash or Cash Back checking account still counts towards the required monthly transaction count.

How many cards can I add to Apple Pay?

The number of cards you can add is based on your device. Visit the Apple website for information about how many cards you can add.

How do I make a purchase with Apple Pay?

Double-click the side/lock button located on the side of your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. This should bring up your device's built-in wallet.  With your Oak View debit card displayed on the screen, hold your phone near the contactless reader. You may be asked to verify your identity through Touch ID or Face ID.  If you do not utilize Touch ID or Face ID, you will need to enter your phone's passcode. Apple Pay cannot be utilized if your phone does not have a passcode enabled. Hold your phone near the reader until it vibrates and beeps, indicating that your payment was accepted.

Why am I being asked to call to verify my card?

If your Apple account address does not match the address we have on file for your debit card, your device may notify you that you must contact us to verify your identity prior to proceeding with linking the card to your digital wallet.

Great news! You can now perform this authentication yourself, right through your digital banking! Simply log into your digital banking profile, select the "Documents & Settings" drop-down menu, and choose "Manage Cards". From here, select the card that you attempted to link to your Apple Wallet. Select the "Add to Apple Wallet" button and follow the on-screen instructions. Your card is now fully linked to your Apple Wallet and ready to use with Apple Pay!
