Oak View National Bank was featured in Independent Banker magazine for its innovative use of cloud computing technology. The article highlighted how the bank adopted a cloud-based operating environment when it opened in 2009, making it unusual among community banks at the time. According to Senior Vice President of Administration Colin Borgstrom, nearly all of the bank’s applications were managed through a private cloud environment, allowing Oak View to focus on serving customers rather than maintaining technology infrastructure.

The bank cited benefits including improved efficiency, stronger disaster recovery capabilities, reduced hardware and software management costs, and access to specialized technology expertise. By leveraging cloud-based systems and maintaining rigorous security and compliance reviews, Oak View positioned itself to support long-term growth while continuing to deliver relationship-focused community banking services.
