LOCAL BANKERS JOIN OAK VIEW NATIONAL BANK (IN ORGANIZATION)
Warrenton, VA (May 21, 2009) – Oak View National Bank (In Organization) announced today that it has added new staff members.
Following the first annual meeting of shareholders of Oak View National Bank held on May 4, preparation for the bank’s imminent opening is rapidly moving forward. Two locations, the head office on Broadview Avenue in Warrenton and branch office on Stockyard Road in Marshall, are nearing readiness. The following local bankers will bring long experience to the Bank’s management team:
Jon D. Peavley, Executive Vice President, will serve as the bank’s Community Executive for Warrenton. His career spans 25 years of banking experience in Fauquier County, in loan management, commercial and consumer lending and supervision, and business development. He holds a B.S. degree in business administration from West Virginia University and is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management. Experience includes 19 years with Fauquier National Bank, followed by 5½ years with Marshall National Bank/PNC.
Robert “Rucker” Slater, Jr., Executive Vice President, lives in Upperville, VA, and holds a B.S. degree in Economics from Virginia Military Institute. He will serve Oak View National as Community Executive for the Marshall community. He brings 12 years of banking experience in commercial and consumer lending and management to the position, having served 6 years at both Middleburg National Bank and Marshall National Bank/PNC.
Betty K. Leonard of The Plains, Virginia, joins the Bank as Vice President and Loan Officer. Her former career with Marshall National Bank spanned 34 years of broad experience in both retail and commercial banking and lending. She is a graduate of the V.B.A. School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia and holds certificates in bank operations and career studies from the American Institute of Banking and Lord Fairfax Community College.
Linda P. Robinson’s banking career spans 41 years, 39 of which were with Marshall National Bank, most recently in loan administration. She will serve Oak View National as Vice President and Senior Loan Processor. She has experience in both loan operations and branch management. Linda is a graduate of Fauquier High School and the Richmond Professional Institute School of Nursing. She served for many years on the Marshall Volunteer Rescue Squad. She has two children and three grandchildren and resides in Rhoadesville, VA.
